Steinmeyer

Steinmeyer has been established since 1920. Originally a manufacturer of precision measuring instruments, the company started to produce ballscrew and nut assemblies in the 1960s. Today the company has three manufacturing sites in Germany and sales offices in Germany, the UK and the USA and employs approximately 450 people worldwide.

Steinmeyer is widely recognised as one of the pioneering companies in ballscrew manufacturing. Today the company has a high quality ballscrew product portfolio ranging from 3 to125mm in diameter. In keeping with the high precision origins of the company, the vast majority of our ballscrews are of ground execution. Recent technical innovations include the revolutionary ETA+ design capable of a 50% increase in rigidity and a 67% decrease in friction. As a result reversing errors are eliminated and control errors are dramatically reduced. Steinmeyer are also certified for aerospace applications including flight critical elements. Miniature ballscrews for high vacuum applications along with the medical and electronic sectors are an increasing part of our production. Ballscrews for these application areas typically require special steels, plastics and lubricants.

Steinmeyer are an OEM supplier to the automotive industry, world leading aircraft engine component manufacturers and machine tool manufacturers.
